Is anxiety stealing the joy from your life? Do you find yourself repeating old, unhelpful patterns
of thinking or interacting, but you don’t know why? Although we are all products of our history,
we can challenge and change the assumptions and faulty beliefs we’ve acquired along the way
and learn new ways of being and relating to others. Maybe you are holding on to some unfair
expectations of yourself or others? Maybe you’ve experienced past or present trauma that is keeping you stuck and unable to find meaning and real connection in your life? It can be helpful to examine where our beliefs about ourselves and the world come from and how they may be affecting us in the present. It is my privilege to listen to your unique story and help you on your journey toward living a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
I am EMDR-trained and have experience working with adults of all ages who suffer from anxiety, isolation, grief,
family and relationship stress, emotional abuse, past neglect or abuse, and low self-esteem. My
goal in counseling is to create an environment where my clients feel safe to freely express and
explore their thoughts and feelings. My role as a therapist is to guide you toward a better
understanding of yourself, including the role you may play in your current distress. We will work together to address your immediate concerns and gain a better understanding of the root of your struggles. Are you ready to begin? Have hope. Change is possible!
A bit about me… I’m a native Dallasite who earned my undergraduate degree in Business at Baylor University. After raising two amazing daughters with my husband of 30 years, I decided to put all that experience and learning to good use by completing my MA in Counseling and practicum training at Amberton University. I bring that training, along with the wisdom accrued from having experienced the ups and downs of many stages of life, to my work today. I enjoy taking dance classes and reading good books as often as I can. And my absolute favorite vacation is relaxing at the beach.
