Tiffany Ashenfelter - Licensed Professional Counselor

LPC-S

Founding Partner at 214 Counseling

Do you feel like you’ve come to a place in your life where something’s gotta give?
Are you standing at a crossroads, unsure where to go next? If so, I want you to
know—life doesn’t have to stay this way. Therapy can be the first courageous step
toward meaningful change, and I’m here to walk with you on that journey.

As a counselor, I don’t offer quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. I believe you
already carry the wisdom you need for your own growth and healing. My role is to walkalongside you—offering insight, support, and challenge—as you navigate life’s
complexities. Together, we’ll move at a pace that honors both your story and your
nervous system. My goal is to create a space of safety, trust, and curiosity—where you are met without judgment, and where healing becomes possible.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based, holistic modalities. I draw from somatic therapy, attachment science, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support the full mind-body-spirit connection.

Through somatic therapy, we tune into how your body carries the weight of past
experiences—whether in the form of chronic tension, numbness, or disconnection. By developing body awareness, regulating your nervous system, and gently releasing stored stress responses, we create space for calm, connection, and lasting emotional change.

Through the lens of attachment science, we’ll explore how your early relationships—especially those shaping your sense of safety, worth, and belonging—continue to affect how you relate to yourself and others today. These patterns aren’t fixed. With intention and care, we can form new, healthier ways of
relating—both internally and interpersonally.

I have nearly 20 years of clinical experience supporting adults through depression, anxiety, self-destructive coping, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, and work/life imbalances. I also specialize in working with individuals navigating spiritual abuse or exploring how faith intersects with mental health. If you’re trying to make sense of past religious experiences, questioning your beliefs, or seeking to integrate your spirituality in healthy ways, I offer a compassionate space for that work.

Many of my clients arrive at moments of transition—seeking clarity, healing, and a
deeper connection to themselves and others.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Board-Approved Supervisor in the
state of Texas for new clinicians, as well as a Certified Equine Specialist in Mental
Health. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Angelo State University.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy leading speaking and training events. Topics on which I frequently teach include understanding the nervous system, exploring the Enneagram, setting healthy boundaries, navigating difficult conversations, and living with intention and authenticity. Visit the Presentations & Trainings page to learn more.

Outside of work, I recharge by being outdoors—soaking in sunshine, connecting with the horses at Jake E’s, or reading a good book by the fire or poolside. I’m also a big fan of my husband Michael’s cooking, and we share our home with Remy, a snuggly gingercat, and Winston, our energetic aussiedoodle who loves to herd the cat.

Ready to begin? Email me to schedule your first appointment—I’d be honored to
support you.
