Julianne Cantwell, LPC-Associate, supervised by Mark Hundley, MEd, LPC-S

Sometimes we need to be heard without judgment. Sometimes we need to make sense of pain in our past to make living in the present a little less difficult. Sometimes our greatest goal is to be a better version of ourselves. Whatever your need, I hope to provide you with the opportunity for increased hope, connection, and restoration.

I am deeply committed to empowering women as they deal with concerns such as self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, spirituality, life transitions, and anxiety. I also enjoy working with young couples preparing for marriage as well as helping couples of all ages navigate the intricacies of communication, intimacy, connection, and a satisfying relationship.

It is my desire to foster an atmosphere of safety, respect, and trust and provide a calming, supportive environment to help you feel at ease expressing yourself. Together, we will work to enrich your overall wellbeing, identify your inner resources for overcoming challenges, and help you find more joy and happiness in living.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Educational Administration in Higher Education from Texas A&M University. I am a member of the Alpha Chi and Chi Sigma Iota academic honor societies and the Texas Counseling Association.

The Dallas area has been my home since young-adulthood, and I have been married to my husband for 30 years. My two adult sons and two dogs, Winston and Ollie, bring me some of my greatest pleasures in life. I also enjoy traveling to interesting places, attending Pilates classes, spending time outdoors, and immersing myself in art, books, and music.

Life may feel overwhelming, but there is nothing too difficult for us to face together. Let me help you discover hope, connection, and restoration.

“This process of the good life is not, I am convinced, a life for the faint-hearted. It involves the stretching and growing of becoming more and more of one’s potentialities. It involves the courage to be. It means launching oneself fully into the stream of life.”
