Hi! I’m Sarah Cooke, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I believe in the value of counseling and providing a safe place for people to process and share their feelings. I strive to make the therapy process feel welcoming and safe. My approach is built on trust and mutual respect. I am warm, positive, and empathetic. I use an integrative approach that is built on collaboration. We will work together in addressing your specific needs and mapping out the best steps for you in your journey.
I work with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life, but I specialize in helping those heal from depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting difficulties, postpartum issues, and trauma.
I am honored when people allow me to partner with them to become more healthy and happy in all aspects of their lives. I understand that sharing and being vulnerable is not always easy, and I would feel honored to have you trust me with the things that are heavy on your heart.
Education: I earned my undergraduate degree in Sociology from Baylor University and my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Experience: I discovered my passion for helping others while pursuing my undergraduate degree, where I interacted with mental health professionals and developed a drive for supporting others. I have worked in a variety of counseling settings including a domestic violence and incest recovery center, hospitals, a school, and outpatient counseling center.
