Christine Giella

MA, LPC

Partner at 214 Counseling

It matters how and with whom we struggle in life. We need someone who will struggle well with us. Christine works with women in life transition, premarital couples, young married couples, those struggling with depression/anxiety, and those dealing with difficult family situations. She believes that counseling is a life-changing experience when individuals are heard, deeply understood, and called to change by an empathetic listener. She creates a safe and hopeful environment where clients can explore growth, develop healthy coping skills, and emerge from old patterns of thinking and believing.

Along with aiding client’s self exploration, Christine teaches clients concrete skills for tangible and lasting change. These skills help clients regain control of their emotions, communicate effectively in relationships, and improve overall functioning in work, life, and relationships. Christine is EMDR trained and Prepare and Enrich certified.

Clients who work with Christine walk away with a clearer understanding of themselves, draw meaning and purpose from their struggles, and move toward a healthier and holistic life-and into a deeper and more meaningful relationships.

Maybe You Should Talk To Someone
by Lori Gottlieb

Favorite Quote

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”

– Rainer Maria Rilke
